My Perfect Day in NYC: A Dream Day of Relaxation, Exploration, and Indulgence
New York City has a way of making every day feel special, and when I imagine my perfect day here, it’s a blend of relaxation, exploration, and indulgence. From luxurious stays to delicious food, here’s how I’d spend an ideal day in the city.
Start the Day at The Greenwich Hotel
My perfect day kicks off at The Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca, one of my favorite places to stay. It’s the perfect blend of luxury and comfort, and it’s attached to Locanda Verde, my go-to spot for breakfast. I’d enjoy a light meal and coffee there, setting the tone for a day filled with delicious experiences.
Pampering at Rescue Spa
After breakfast, it’s time for some pampering. A facial at Rescue Spa in Flatiron would leave me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Their estheticians are amazing, and I love the Biologique Recherche products they use. Afterward, I’d head over to 5th Avenue for some shopping.
Shopping on 5th Avenue
There’s no better place for retail therapy than 5th Avenue. I’d start at Intermix, then hit Zara (the 5th Avenue location tends to be less crowded), Club Monaco, and Sephora. With a coffee in hand from Ralph’s at Club Monaco, I’d enjoy a leisurely shopping spree.
Lunch at ABCV or SUGARFISH
By now, I’d be ready for lunch. If I’m in the mood for plant-based food, ABCV is a must. Their cauliflower, chickpea hummus, and fresh pasta dishes are standout options. Alternatively, SUGARFISH offers the best sushi in the city, though expect a wait during peak hours.
Stroll Through the City
After lunch, I’d take a walk or rent a Citi Bike back toward Tribeca and the West Village. Walking is one of my favorite ways to soak in the city’s vibe. A stop at Washington Square Park for some people-watching is a must before heading back to my hotel.
Cocktails at Locanda Verde
I’d head back to The Greenwich Hotel to freshen up before heading to Locanda Verde for a cocktail with friends. The bar’s inviting ambiance makes it the perfect spot for unwinding before the evening ahead.
Dinner at L’Artusi
For dinner, L’Artusi in the West Village would be my top choice. This Italian-inspired restaurant is one of my favorites in the city, offering exceptional food and a cozy yet lively atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to end my perfect day.
Nightcap at Bemelman’s Bar
To cap off the evening, I’d head to Bemelman’s Bar at The Carlyle for a nightcap. This iconic bar is known for its jazz music and elegant setting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a drink and reflect on a perfect day in New York City.
