Skincare Gadgets and Supplements: A Review of My Latest Beauty Finds

When it comes to skincare, I’m always on the hunt for new products and gadgets that promise to improve my complexion, relieve discomfort, or just make the beauty routine feel more luxurious. I’ve recently been trying out a few new items, and I’ve got some thoughts to share. From menstrual cramp relief to anti-aging tools, here’s a breakdown of my experience with some of the latest products I’ve added to my skincare arsenal.

De Lune: Cramp Relief That Actually Works

Let’s start with something that’s not your typical skincare product but something that had a surprising impact on my routine—De Lune. If you’re someone who suffers from painful menstrual cramps, you’ll know how miserable those days can be. Over the past several cycles, my cramps have been unbearable, making it nearly impossible to get through the day without some form of pain relief.

De Lune’s cramping pills were a game-changer for me. I started taking them right at the first sign of discomfort, as recommended, and paired them with a single Advil to balance out the effect. The result? A huge reduction in pain. While I wouldn’t say I was completely free of discomfort, the relief was significant enough that I could go about my day without worrying about canceling plans or curling up in bed with a heating pad. I’ll definitely be reordering, and I’m hopeful that with continued use, I’ll experience even more benefits.

I also tried their mood-stabilizing pills, but I didn’t notice a significant change in my mood yet. It’s still early days, and I know these types of supplements take a bit longer to show results, so I’ll continue taking them and check back in a month with an update.

NuFACE: Subtle Yet Effective

Next up is the NuFACE device, which I’ve been using as part of my daily skincare routine. I did some research before committing to this product, reaching out to a friend who had worked with the brand. Her advice was simple but clear: it works, but you need to be consistent. I’m happy to report that after using it daily for just a short time, I noticed a very subtle improvement in my skin. It wasn’t a dramatic transformation overnight, but after about a week, I could see a smoother texture and a bit of a lift around my jawline.

For those considering the NuFACE, I’d say go for it if you can carve out 5–10 minutes each day for the treatment. Consistency is key, and the results are definitely noticeable with time. The mini version that I have is great for travel, but I hear the regular version has an attachment that adds more versatility for targeted treatments. So far, though, I’m happy with the mini.

Face Steamer: A Must-Have for Clean Skin

If you haven’t invested in a face steamer yet, let me tell you: you’re missing out. I’ve been using mine for six years now, and it’s hands down one of my favorite skincare tools. I love using it in the mornings before my skincare routine. Not only does it help open up my pores for a deeper cleanse, but it also feels incredibly relaxing.

I use the Secura face steamer, which was my first real introduction to skincare, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s an excellent way to clear out your sinuses, too, especially during allergy season or when you’re feeling congested. Steaming once or twice a week makes my skin feel so refreshed, and I love that it’s an easy step to incorporate into my routine without taking up much time.

Ice Mask: A Refreshing Favorite

Now, let’s talk about the Ice Mask, which, I have to admit, has become something of a cult favorite ever since I first shared it. This mask is a total game-changer for puffiness. Whether you keep it in the fridge for a cold compress or pop it in the microwave for a quick heat treatment, it’s incredibly versatile. I love using it cold to reduce swelling, especially under my eyes, and it works wonders after a late night or stressful week.

The best part? The mask never actually freezes, so you don’t have to worry about an uncomfortable chill. It gets cold enough to work its magic, but it’s not painful. It’s my go-to for a quick facial refresh, and honestly, it’s one of the most effective tools I’ve ever used for reducing puffiness.

Darphin Hydra Skin: A Hydrating Gel Mask

For those of you dealing with dryness and breakouts, I highly recommend Darphin’s Hydra Skin Gel Mask. I’ve only been using it for a month, but I’ve already noticed a difference. My skin feels more hydrated and plump, and it’s done wonders for balancing out my complexion. As someone who’s always struggled with both dryness and the occasional breakout, I’ve found that gel masks like this one are gentle enough to hydrate without clogging pores.

If you’re struggling with combination skin, this mask could be your answer. It provides just the right amount of moisture while leaving my face feeling bouncy and dewy without being greasy. So far, I’m loving the results and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a hydrating solution.

Face Slimmer: Mixed Feelings

Last but not least, I tried a face slimming tool. I’m all for products that promise to help define and contour, but I have to say, I’m on the fence about this one. The device is uncomfortable to wear for extended periods, and while I did notice a sharper jawline right after using it, the effect doesn’t last long. It’s one of those products where you see a quick result, but it doesn’t stick around.

I’ve tried leaving it on for several hours at night, but who really wants to do that every night? While I’d love for it to work its magic with minimal effort, I think I’ll have to pass on this one for the long term.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m excited about the results I’ve seen so far with these products. From the cramp relief of De Lune to the subtle but noticeable effects of NuFACE, these are the types of tools and supplements that can truly make a difference in your beauty routine. Some products, like the Ice Mask and face steamer, have already become staples for me, while others, like the face slimmer, might not make it into regular rotation.

I’d love to hear if any of you have tried these products or if you have other favorites that you swear by. Let me know in the comments—I’m always on the lookout for the next great addition to my skincare lineup!
